Hanaka Hojicha is an award-winning roasted green tea from an organic high-altitude mountain in Gokase City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan
This tea has a pleasant and elegant floral aroma. Light roasting gives enhanced floral notes as well.
A unique story of this Hojicha was that the farmers enjoyed the floral aroma after harvesting leaves in their tea farms. They realized all the aroma was from the leftover of the leaves on the trees and decided to harvest them to make a special tea that is how this floral Hojicha was born.
