This small mushi-wan (steaming cup) is traditionally designed for serving chawanmushi (savoury egg custard), but it can be used for a variety of purposes, including other steamed dishes, small side servings, desserts, fruits, ice cream, tea, and more!
This cup originated from Mino in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Mino ware is the most popular style in Japan, accounting for 60% of the country's ceramics. Mino-yaki is valued for its beauty and durability, making it popular for everyday use and, of course, special occasions.
