Chasen - Shin

This beautiful Chasen is made by the master, Chikumeido Sabun who is the 24th generation of the Chasen family, carrying over 500 years of history and techniques.
He uses local, 100% natural and chemical-free bamboo.
Cutting a raw bamboo into a half to start, splitting it into 80 parts each outside/inside a total of 160 tips and shaving both end corners of each thin tip one by one, all the endless steps are carefully handcrafted by the skilled artisans to finish.
